to say i was excited to meet miss harper grace would be a huge understatement.
i have known derek and lauren for years; we were children together, and now they were having a child. seeing lauren's belly grow and being a part of her pregnancy documentation was extremely special to me. i thought the joy on her face when she talked about the baby before harper was born was beautiful. it was nothing compared to the look in her and derek's eyes when i saw them stare at harper when she was only 8 hours old.
harper was perfect, from her little toes, to pouty mouth, and newborn baby smell. i am so thankful to have met the little one when she was so new to the world, and can't wait to see her grow up!
thank you, derek and lauren, for letting me capture your little girl from pregnancy to mere hours old. i hope you enjoy the pictures now, and that harper loves them when she's older.
i love when i'm editing a session and every next picture suddenly becomes my favorite.
i love everything about lainey's two year session: the vintage look, the pearls, the tutu, and the teddy. to me, every little girl should be captured playing dress-up at this young age. the innocence of her smile is precious.
happy birthday alaina!
i am SO HAPPY to announce the winner of this years valentine's contest is
netta, as i know her, has been one of my dear friends since senior year of high school. in fact, i was there at the beach that final day of senior year when she and mark took that infamous stroll down the sand and began dating. i was there the day they also took a walk down the aisle and were married in front of their friends and family. i hope to be there one day and hurriedly rush down the hospital hallways to see them with a little bambino...but no rush netta.
i can honestly say netta is one of the sweetest, kindest women i know. she has a pure heart, and mark adores her. i love the two of them, and love their love. when mark was deployed to afghanistan, her strength was remarkable and commendable. there's something special about those military wives.
netta recruited a whopping 93 votes for her love story, and now she's got a $50 credit for a session of her choosing. i can't wait to capture her and mark's love in the first professional photos they've had done since their wedding, and mark's deployment.
love you netta & mark, and congrats!
i first met the jones family last summer after another client gifted them a session (gift cards are available!) and immediately clicked with them. allison is so bubbly and she and mike's two little munchkins have their mama's same personality. after our great summer session in june, allison asked me if we could do a repeat in the winter so they could have seasonal photos for the walls of their new home. i was elated! it truly warms my heart to have repeat clients, because they really love my work and their images. more than that, i love seeing their children grow up right before my lens!
while madison and georgia were a little under the weather, i still managed to get a few grins out of them. we trekked around saint mary's campus with it all to ourselves as the students were home for christmas break; it was perfect! not to mention, i loved their choice of outfits. all little girls should have pink high-tops.
i loved meeting with the jones' again, and can't wait until our next session! *fingers crossed*
