the little love you'll meet below was blessed before he was ever born because he's part of an amazing family. it just so happens i've had the privileged to capture that family's big day - trevor and jelena's wedding - and i was invited back to meet little luka when he arrived for the skaro family.
the minute you meet luka, you fall in love. he truly is such a sweet, sweet little man. i know his mom and dad, grandparents, and aunts and uncles couldn't be any happier to have welcomed him into their family. it's been an honor for me to capture some images of his first days. ps: he's got a killer smile. that grin melts hearts :]

i knew after THIS gorgeous maternity session that baby clay was going to be a looker. when mama jen called to let me know that she and scott's little man had arrived i couldn't wait to meet the little fella!
meet baby clay :] meet little daxton.
born three weeks early, dax's mama couldn't be more elated that she and hubby kyle got to meet their little man a bit sooner than expected. why? dax was wearing out his welcome! lisa's belly had grown into a torpedo of sorts. while they were expecting a giant of a baby (dad is over 6'4") they were greeted with this little man - emphasis on man. daxton was a mere 6 lbs, and the anderson's own little benjamin button. enjoy! sweet little sorin was born just THREE DAYS after i first met his parents for their maternity session. it was at their maternity session, i later learned, that i inadvertently helped name him! for those of you not up on your notre dame history, fr. sorin founded the university. during our baby bump shoot adam and jacqueline, both notre dame grads themselves, and i passed two different statues of fr. sorin, and with a glance at one another, the decision was made.
little sorin is sure to be a big irish fan; check out that bow tie! this time last year, when the leaves were vibrant reds and oranges, i was taking family pictures of the Gerbers. this year, they have a new addition. meet Nina, a real Gerber baby!
deron and jenny, nina is beautiful. and, we know she liked me too because she was SO relaxed around me ;] thank you so much for giving me the privilege of capturing nina's first days. i hope you love these images now, and cherish them as nina grows bigger. my personal favorite? the little toes. nothing more s to say i was excited to meet miss harper grace would be a huge understatement.
i have known derek and lauren for years; we were children together, and now they were having a child. seeing lauren's belly grow and being a part of her pregnancy documentation was extremely special to me. i thought the joy on her face when she talked about the baby before harper was born was beautiful. it was nothing compared to the look in her and derek's eyes when i saw them stare at harper when she was only 8 hours old. harper was perfect, from her little toes, to pouty mouth, and newborn baby smell. i am so thankful to have met the little one when she was so new to the world, and can't wait to see her grow up! thank you, derek and lauren, for letting me capture your little girl from pregnancy to mere hours old. i hope you enjoy the pictures now, and that harper loves them when she's older. :] the briney family is one of my favorites to photograph. i've known mom, danielle, since we were in elementary school and attended church together. she and her husband, kyle, have a precious 7-month-old daughter, khloe. i've photographed khloe since birth, and was so excited to capture her first christmas. she has BEAUTIFUL blue eyes and the sweetest personality!
